When It Comes to Branding, You Need To ADOPT

Adoption is a powerful concept.  Unlike biological parenthood where you can give up your children or disown them,  adoption is a different story.  You make a legal adoption contract to ALWAYS be their parent and and fulfill all the requirements parenthood entails.

The Bible refers to God's love for us as for that of adopted children (Ephesians 1:5).  Adoption is a big deal.  It is for keeps.

Even before we adopted our daughter, I used the word "adopt" in my branding process. 

​When I develop a brand for an organization, I use a process.  I could craft an effective brand without the process, but my process allows me to address two major issues that improve the brand success:
  • I build consensus throughout the multiple steps.
  • It is easier for the organization's team to ADOPT the brand, instead of just approving it.

​A brand is not something you change frequently.  While it might evolve slightly, a properly  developed and implemented brand is "forever".
