Yesterday, I shared my thoughts on Marketing Congruency. The word "congruent" always makes me think of my coach and friend, Dave Romeo. I do not know another person who lives congruent, works congruent, or uses the word "congruent" more than Dave. That is a good thing. What is congruence? Making sure your words match your actions. Think of the people in your life who you respect the most. Are they congruent? We like people who are congruent because we know we can count on them.
I am sure we all agree that lying has no place in relationships or business (that includes "little white lies" or lies of omission). But sometimes the lack of congruence is unconscience. It may be a result of "baggage" from your past, learned behavior, or perhaps, your perceptions don't match your reality. Think about the people who you do not consider to be congruent. Then, look in the mirror. Do YOU have some small congruency issues you need to resolve? Be the person other people can ALWAYS count on to do what they say they will do. To learn more about congruency, check out this blog by Dave Romeo. And, if you want a list people who consistently model congruency, check out Dave's Ultimate Service Provider list. I have been honored to be part of Dave's list since 2012. Comments are closed.
